The initial contribution is from a slide show presented at the 2008 CBA Spring Conference by Sergiy and Olga Polubotko of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine. Sergiy was on the vanguard of recreating the art and craft of blacksmithing in the Ukraine after the fall of the Soviet Union. This documents the amazing progress they have made in the last 15 years starting from nothing -- as blacksmithing had been banned under the Soviets.
