We’re excited to host an array of demos and educational opportunities.
Artem Marshak
Artem will be forging a sculptural piece during his demonstration at the conference.
Becky Schimpff
Becky will be instructing in the Education tent helping participants working on Level I & Level II of the Curriculum.
Gabriel Craig
Gabriel will give a lecture on Detroit ironwork of the early 20th century and his search for work by Samuel Yellin.
Pat Quinn
Pat will be giving a tool making demonstration on the power hammer at the Center for Metal Arts with a focus on forging tongs.
Jennifer Petrila
Jennifer’s demonstration will focus heavily on traditional forging techniques.
Randy McDaniel
Randy McDaniel, blacksmith and author, will be giving a forging press demonstration.
Steve Rollert
Steve Rollert is a bladesmith and instructor who will be demoing his specialty – pattern welded steel.
Doug Hayes
Doug will be giving instruction in the Beginner’s Tent for attendees 13 years old and up looking to try their hand at forging metal.
Mark Aspery
Mark will be in the Education Tent focusing his time on Level I & Level II of the ABANA National Curriculum.
Bob Pickens
Bob will give a brass foundry demonstration casting a mini anvil that will be available at the auction.
Mark Sperry
Colonial Williamsburg blacksmith & Forged in Fire Champ, Mark Sperry will give ABANA National Curriculum demos.
Sam Hayes
Sam will be assisting in the Beginner’s Tent helping first-timers and novice smiths develop their skills.
Philip Waters
Philip, the head blacksmith at Jourdan Bachman Pioneer Farms, will assist in the Education Tents.
Bob Menard
Bob Menard, President of the New England Blacksmiths, will assist in the Education Tents.
Derek Melton
Forged in Fire Champion Derek will give a demonstration and Q&A about forging with an induction forge.
Ron Nichols
Ron Nichols, creator of the mini grille, will demonstrate grille elements in common with the National Curriculum Level III Grille.
Jerry Coe
A lecture on the Business of Blacksmithing will be given by Jerry Coe.
Alan Curboy
