A national blacksmithing conference is held every other year (in even-numbered years) at locations across the United States. The event features top-notch blacksmith demonstrators and lecturers, along with craft classes, competitions, a gallery of ironwork, and the ever-popular art auction.
ABANA hosts online tutorials and/or coaching sessions via Zoom as part of our educational outreach. Classes range from fun how-to sessions, such as how to forge animal heads, to more in-depth instruction on the National Curriculum.
As part of our mission to promote the art of blacksmithing and showcase contemporary forged work, we display a gallery of work during our conferences and host and support exhibitions touring North America.
We have a list of upcoming ABANA Affiliate events, exhibitions, and more. It is updated frequently, so be sure to check back for new listings.
